Gilland is a graduate of Baylor University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University with magna cum laude honors.  He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar’s Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section, the Denton Bar Association, and the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section of the Denton Bar Association.  He is admitted to practice in Texas and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas.  He has also served as a Guardian/Attorney Ad Litem with the Denton County Statutory Probate Court. Originally from South Texas, Gilland now resides with his wife and family near Denton.
